And yes, there’s a magnifying glass.
Sega has revealed full details of its just-announced Game Gear Micro mobile console — or, I should say, consoles. It turns out that the four-color variants are unique methods, each with four distinct games preloaded, no difficulty in an attempt to drive representatives to buy all of them.
Here is what you get on every single.
The black version includes:
Sonic the Hedgehog
Puyo Puyo two
The blue version includes:
The yellowish Game Gear Micro includes:
Shining Force Gaiden: Ensei — Jashin no Kuni that he
Shining Force: The Sword of Rajya
Shining Force Gaiden: Final Conflict
Nazo Puyo Aruru no Ru
Along with the red variant is packed with:
The device itself is 80mm x 43mm x 20mm with a 1.15-inch screen. There is a single mono speaker and a headset jack. It costs over USB but may run off two AAA batteries.
You may be wondering how precisely you’re supposed to play games on a 1.15-inch display, making the Game Boy Micro’s 2-inch panel sound enormous by comparison. Well, if you’re amenable to drop 27,255 yen ($250) on a pack of four consoles, Sega includes a mini version of its Big Window magnifying-glass attachment.
Remember, this is the same company that introduced non-functional plastic Sega CD and 32X add-ons for the Mega Drive Mini. What better way to celebrate its 60th anniversary?
The Game Gear Micro consoles are available to preorder currently in Japan for 4,980 yen (~$50) separately and will send on October 6th. No word yet on a Western release.
